1. Information We Collect

To verify customer identity and reduce rental fraud, we may request the following information:

Personal Identification

  • Any three (3) valid Government-issued ID proofs (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, Passport, Voter ID, etc.)
  • Recent photograph/selfie for verification
  • Permanent and current residential address

Address Verification

  • Electricity bill, water bill, property tax receipt, or other valid address proof (if available)
  • Rent agreement (if applicable)

Social Media Verification

  • Instagram profile link
  • Facebook profile link
  • LinkedIn profile (if applicable)

Business Verification (For Companies)

  • Company GST details
  • Company registration documents
  • Company website and official email address
  • Authorized representative details

References

  • One or more personal or professional references
  • Existing customer reference (if available)

2. Security Deposit & Security Cheque

For equipment rental, customers may be required to provide:

  • Refundable security deposit
  • Security cheque
  • Additional verification documents as required

Customers may choose to keep a security cheque on file for future rentals. The cheque can be returned upon request after all rented equipment has been returned and verified.

3. Equipment Damage & Liability

The customer is fully responsible for the rented equipment from the time it is handed over until it is returned and inspected.

The customer agrees to pay for:

  • Physical damage
  • Water damage
  • Fire damage
  • Electrical damage
  • Missing accessories
  • Theft or loss of equipment
  • Repair costs
  • Replacement costs where repair is not possible

The final assessment of damage and repair cost will be determined by Media Hub Camera Rental.

4. Video Recording & Documentation

For security and fraud prevention purposes:

  • We may record video footage during equipment handover and return.
  • We may photograph the rented equipment before and after rental.
  • We may maintain records of equipment condition, serial numbers, and accessories.

These records are maintained solely for security, dispute resolution, and verification purposes.

5. Assistant Requirement

For selected equipment packages and rentals where the equipment value exceeds ₹1,00,000, we may require:

  • Verified address proof
  • Additional identity verification
  • Security deposit
  • Rental assistant/operator provided by the customer or approved by Media Hub Camera Rental

Approval remains at the sole discretion of Media Hub Camera Rental.

6. Fraud Prevention

Media Hub Camera Rental reserves the right to reject any rental request if:

  • Documents appear suspicious or unverifiable
  • Information provided is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Social profiles or references cannot be verified
  • The customer fails verification requirements
  • Any fraudulent activity is suspected

Submitting false information may result in immediate cancellation of the rental request and may be reported to relevant authorities where necessary.

7. Data Protection

All customer information collected during the verification process is used only for:

  • Identity verification
  • Rental approval
  • Fraud prevention
  • Security and recovery of equipment
  • Legal compliance

We do not sell customer information to third parties.

8. Data Retention

Verification records, agreements, and security documentation may be retained for legal, accounting, security, and fraud-prevention purposes as required by applicable law.

9. Customer Consent

By requesting or accepting equipment on rent from Media Hub Camera Rental, the customer confirms that:

  • All submitted information is true and accurate.
  • Verification documents may be reviewed for security purposes.
  • Video recording and equipment documentation are permitted.
  • The customer accepts responsibility for any damage, loss, or theft of rented equipment.
  • The customer agrees to comply with all rental terms and conditions.
